Chris­tine Thomas takes pride in making Pilates chal­leng­ing and fun. Her teaching philos­o­phy is rooted in the funda­men­tals of Joseph Pilates while inte­grat­ing modern tech­niques and equip­ment. Chris­tine received her Pilates training with inter­na­tion­ally renowned Polestar Pilates where she mastered using the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Mat, and small props. Each of these pieces of equip­ment chal­lenges the body and mind in unique ways culmi­nat­ing in a holistic approach to strength and wellness.

In addition to her training with Polestar, Chris­tine has contin­ued her educa­tion with Seattle based, Rebecca Leone’s Pilates Excel workshop as well as a inten­sive course­work with Lolita San Miguel (1st gener­a­tion Pilates instruc­tor and 1 of only 2 people certi­fied by Joseph Pilates himself). She holds a bach­e­lors degree in polit­i­cal science from Florida Atlantic Univer­sity and a Masters degree in Campaign Manage­ment from George Wash­ing­ton University.

Chris­tine is orig­i­nally from South Florida and has lived in Chat­tanooga for 5 years.
Prior to her involve­ment with Pilates, Chris­tine has over fifteen years expe­ri­ence teaching ballet, tap, jazz, acro­bat­ics and gymnas­tics. Chris­tine is a certi­fied dance instruc­tor with Florida Dance Masters and a member of the Tennessee Dance Asso­ci­a­tion. Chris­tine currently offers mat, reformer, and private lessons at Pilates Tonic.
