Pilates Tonic Instructors
Sydney is a fully certified Pilates instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). Before finding Pilates she was a full-time hairstylist at Arrojo-Cutler and educator for Bumble and bumble. She apprenticed Nick Arrojo (from TLC’s ‘What Not to Wear’) and Rodney Cutler (of Cutler Salons in NYC and Miami) for two years. She believes that this is where she began to develop her “eye” for detail. Her journey with Pilates began in 2001 in an effort to combat back pain from years of hairstyling, a lifetime of bad posture and scoliosis. She was so inspired by her own improvements with Pilates that she dedicated herself to the intense instructor training to become a Pilates teacher.
Will has completed the Pilates Foundation Workshop with 2nd generation teacher Rebecca Leone and well as Ms. Leone’s Pilates Excel Workshop and Cadaver Lab. He has also been personally trained and educated by stretch master Kit Laughlin himself in contract/release techniques. He has also studied extensively with Sydney Craig, owner of Pilates Tonic and is currently working towards completing his comprehensive Pilates training through Balanced Body University.
“Whether in a private, or class setting, I want to provide a challenging, fun and safe atmosphere for everyone. I also encourage people to leave their daily stresses at the studio door so they can really enjoy the time they spend at Pilates Tonic.”
“Movement matters, and how your body moves matters. Being aware of and understanding your body on a deeper level – how it moves, adapts, changes, and its ability to move in general – will help change your life!”
“Focusing on finding a mind/body connection is crucial. The goal is to work from the inside out; directing our bodies from our deep center.”
