We’re Getting the Band Back Together—and Reshaping Your Booty!

W e have exciting things brewing! I’m thrilled to say that, pretty soon, you’ll be able to participate in Pilates Tonic movement fun no matter where you live. A longtime dream of mine has been to expand the blog post videos and offer additional classes online. It looks like 2020 is the year that dream is becoming a reality! I won’t say any more about it for now, but rest assured, I’ll have more information for you very soon.

In the meantime, we got the band back together to roll out some of our greatest video hits in the form of some new short and sweet movement tips.

If you’d like, I’ll send you a new email every couple of weeks with a quick tip to help you create more body awareness and get more out of things you are already doing. You can subscribe in the sidebar there on the right…

Today we’re kicking things off with a personal favorite. In the video below, I’ll show you how to reshape your rear end and improve the impact of gravity on your hip bones, pelvic floor, and spine, all by changing the way you stand.

You’ll learn to make a simple shift that will help build and maintain bone density in your pelvis and lumbar spine. This technique will also improve the health of your pelvic floor and help your glute muscles become more active, all without adding more “exercise” time to your day!

If it sounds too good to be true, I assure you it’s not. By building awareness around how you currently use your body and by making adjustments throughout the day, you really can create lasting and sustainable change.

Check out the video (it’s less than three minutes) and let me know what you think! If you have any questions or feedback, please do post a note in the comments.

See you in the studio!

  1. So happy to see you again!! Great video. Although i have been working on this for the past two years, I must remain mindful as I sometimes find myself slip into the forward posture you demonstrated. This is so helpful and important to stand properly, it has resolved a lot of pain issues and healed my plantar fasciitis. Looking forward to more videos from you Sydney! Good luck. How to walk properly would be great also.
