New! Super Saturday Mat Classes Arrive in October…

If you’ve ever been in mat class and been surprised by how quickly the time went by, or wished for an extra few minutes to focus on a particular area such as the glutes, arms, or maybe a little extra time for more stretch and relaxation, I’ve got some exciting news for you…

As an instructor, there’ve been multiple times I’ve wished for a few extra minutes because I had more to show you and help you with, but the clock was up and class had to end. So, to solve this problem we have created something we think you’ll really love and we’re calling it, Super Saturday Mat class.

Starting Saturdays in October you can expect to leave mat class feeling like you’ve never felt (in a good way 🙂 ). Super Saturday Mat classes have all the ingredients and awesomeness of a regular mat class with a bonus: we add 15 minutes to the end of each class (Focus 15™). And, of course, there’s no extra charge for Focus 15™. 🙂

Each teacher has selected a special area of focus for the Saturday they are teaching so the focus will change week to week with each class.

Here’s the Super Saturday Mat class break­down for October (click the linked title to be taken directly to MindBody to sign up for that class):

I’ll be doing a Focus 15 of stretch. Ah yes, finally time to effectively stretch the hip flexors at the end of mat class, or release the back.

October 13 – Glute Focus 15 with Christine
Expect to feel your glutes propel you out of class when it’s over because the glutes are Christine’s Focus 15 for this Saturday.

October 20 – Arms Focus 15 with Will
With any luck, you won’t need to do any heavy lifting this weekend because arms are Will’s Focus 15.

October 27 – Breathing and Relaxing Focus 15 with Laurel
The perfect way to end the month, a Focus 15 on breathing and relaxing with Laurel.

We are all pumped about this added class time and are having fun coming up with creative ways to incorporate the Focus 15 at the end of each class.

Of course, we understand that everyone won’t be able to stay after class for the Focus 15. That’s no problem. The class will wrap up as usual at the end of the normal 55 minutes. Focus 15 will begin after a pause for those who need to leave.
