How Standing on One Leg Can Improve Your Gait

Today’s video builds on the last one… What I love about the exercise in today’s video is how easy it is to incorporate into your routine, anywhere you are. It’s also super functional and directly translates into better balance and walking with much more efficiency.

I’ll be building on this foundational move in the next video and explaining more about how it relates to walking.

For now, check out “Standing On One Leg” and please share any feedback or questions in the comments below.

Sending love and wishing you all the very best during this challenging time.

  1. So happy you’re back. I have used the hip release video for years teaching yoga classes and it’s helped so many. You are a treasure. Thanks Sydney.

  2. Sydney – I have a very slow elevator where I live and it takes a minute to get to our floor..so I’ve been practicing this all the way up and down several times a day. I touch the walls of the elevator for balance. I’m glad you said to put your hip back and get on your heel, because I cheat sometimes and lean forward.

    1. Hi Nancy! What a perfect time to practice this exercise. I love it!!🙌 Backing your hip back over your heel makes all the difference in the world. It’s great to hear from you!
